Basically there is the possibility of breast reconstruction with own tissue or with foreign material

Autologous tissue means tissue transplantation from the patient's own body to build up the breast, so-called flap plasty. Tissue from the abdomen (DIEP flap), buttocks (S-GAP, I-GAP) or thigh (TUG) can be transplanted freely to reconstruct the missing skin and volume.

In certain patients, tissue from the back can also be swung in to reconstruct the breast.

Finally, there is also the possibility of reconstruction with silicone prostheses, which can be inserted directly or after prior expansion of the skin and tissue using an expander, depending on the requirements.
